Emmett is a African American . At the age 14, he had a visit to his uncle. That afternoon he was shopping for candy with his cousin, Emmett flirted with a woman who was selling candy . Disaster came to house of Emmett’s uncle to talk and took Emmett away . He beated him, hooked his eyes strangled Emmett with a barbed wire and hurled him into the river.
