WISH- CLAUSES

=> Có 3 dạng câu mong ước: (Ước muốn không có thật ở hiện tại, ước muốn không có thật ở quá khứ và ước muốn không có thật ở tương lai)
1. Mong ước không có thật ở hiện tại:
Khẳng định: S + wish(es)+ (that) + S + V2/ed
(to be: were )
Phủ định: S + wish(es)+ (that) + S + didn’t + Vo
(to be:weren’t)
2. Mong ước không có thật ở tương lai:
Khẳng định: S+ wish(es)+ (that) + S + would + Vo
could
Phủ định: S + wish(es)+ (that)+ S + wouldn’t + Vo
couldn’t
* Lưu ý: He/ She/ Lan/ Maryam wishes……..
1. Mong ước không có thật ở hiện tại:
(+) S + wish(es)+ (that) + S + V2/ed
(to be: were )
I am not on the beach now.
-> I wish (that) I were on the beach now
(am not/ is not/are not chuyển qua câu wish thành were)
2. I don’t have a car (Vo:have-> V2: had)
-> I wish (that) I had a car.
(don’t/doesn’t +Vo chuyển qua wish ta chỉ lấy Vo đưa về V2/-ed)
(-) S + wish(es)+ (that) + S + didn’t + Vo
(to be:weren’t)
Nam lives far from school.
-> He wishes (that) he didn’t live far from school
-> He wishes (that) he lived near school
(V/Vs/es chuyển qua wish thành didn’t +Vo)
2. It is hot today. (I feel uncomfortable)
-> I wish (that) it weren’t hot today.
(am/ is /are chuyển qua wish thành weren’t)
2. Mong ước không có thật ở tương lai
(+) S+ wish(es)+ (that) + S + would + Vo
could
She will not/ won’t come to my party tonight.
-> I wish (that) she would come to my party tonight.
(will not/ won’t + Vo khi chuyển qua wish thành would + Vo)
2. I can not/ can’t swim.
-> I wish (that) I could swim.
(can not/ can’t + Vo chuyển qua wish thành could + Vo)
(-) S + wish(es)+ (that)+ S + wouldn’t + Vo
couldn’t
He will give up his job. (I don’t want this)
-> I wish (that) he wouldn’t give up his job.
2. They can lose this match. (I don’t want this)
-> I wish (that) they couldn’t lose this match.
(will + Vo chuyển sang wish thành wouln’t + Vo)
(can + Vo chuyển sang wish thành couldn’t + Vo)
