The line graph shows the rate of urbanisation in Indonesia within 45 years from the mid-1960s to 2009. We can see a clear fluctuation between the two periods of time, from the mid- 1960s to the mid- 1980s and from the mid-1980s to the end of 2000s.
According to the chart, It can be seen that there was an increase of over 30% in the urbanization rate in Indonesia from 1969 to 2009. The rate remained stable at around 20% for a thirty- year period between 1969 and 1999. In the next ten years, the Indonesia’s urbanization rate increased sharply, reaching 50%.
