1. THE PAST PERFECT TENSE
Form:
Grammar
Ex: - I watched film when I had done all my homework. (1)
-I had done all my homework before 7 p.m. (2)
Use:
The past perfect tense can be used to describe:

+ an action that had happened before another past action (1)

+ an action before a point of time in the past (2)

2. THE SIMPLE PAST:( quá khứ đơn)
A, Form: * Affirmative statements : S + Ved, cột 2
* Negative statements: S + didn`t + V-inf
* Yes / No Questions : Did + S + V-inf...?
B, Cách chia một số động từ đăt biệt: - To be : was , were
- Have / has : had
C, usage: _ Dùng để diễn tả thói quen trong quá khứ và đã chấm dứt.
Ex: She often cried when she was a child.
- Dùng cho một hành động hay một sự việc đã chấm dứt hoàn toàn trong quá khứ và biết rõ thời gian.
Ex: He died in 1987.
- Diễn tả hai hay nhiều hành động xảy ra liên tiếp nhau trong qk.
Ex: She woke up and got out of the bed as soon as the alarm went off.
-Diễn tả hành động xen vào một hành động đang xảy ra.Ex: The teacher came while the students were talking.

While George was reading in bed, two thieves into his kitchen. When they had entered the house, they went to the dinning room. It was very dark, so they on a torch. Suddenly they heard a voice behind them.
“What’s up? What’s up?” a voice . The thieves dropped the torch and ran away as quickly as they could.
George a noise and came downstairs quickly. He turned on the light but he couldn’t see anybody. The thieves f But George’s parrot, Henry, was still there.
