4. Các từ tận cùng là: IC, ION, IA, IAL, IAN, IAR, IENCE, IENCY, IENT, IANCE, IUM, IOUS, EOUS, UOUS, trọng âm thường đặt ngay trước những âm này
Economic, revision, colonial, magnesia, musician, familiar, experience, efficient, allegiance, gymnasium, abstemious, continuous

5. Các từ tận cùng là: OUS, ATE, TUDE, ITY, ETY, AL, LOGY, GRAPHY, METRY, NOMY, ACY trọng âm thường từ âm thứ 3 từ sau ra trước.

6. Các từ tận cùng là: ADE, EE, ESE, EER, OO, OON, ETTE, ESQUE, trọng âm thường nhấn ở vần cuối.

7. Danh từ kép, trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết đầu

Ex: - If you had asked me, I would have told you the answer.
( Had you asked me, I would have told you the answer.
IF= provided that; so(as) long as; in case; on condition that
