THE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE – THE PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Exercise 1: You are writing a letter to a friend and giving news about people you both know. Use the words given to make sentences and put the verb into the correct form.
Example: Phil/ find a new job => Phil has found a new job.
Dear Chris,
Lots of things have happened since I last wrote to you.

Exercise 3: This time you have to use “just”. Answer the question using the words given:

Exercise 4: Use “already” to write sentences:
Example: Don’t forget to post that letter. => I have already posted it.
Don’t forget to phone Tom. =>I have already phoned Tom.
Why don’t you read the paper? =>I have already read the paper.
Shall I pay the waiter? => No, I have already paid.

Exercise 5: This time you have to put “been” or “gone”:
Example: Where’s Ann? => She is on holiday. She has gone to Italy.
