- Ask Ps to identify the characters in 2 pictures on page 18 and ask:

+ Who are they?

- Teach some new words:

+ Teacher read first as a model and ask the Ps to repeat

+ Have the Ps repeat in groups and individuals

- Open the tape and have the Ps listen the sound of the words.

- Instruct Ps to translate the dialogue into Vietnamese.

- Have Ps look at the pictures on page 19. Elicit the identification of the characters in the pictures and the characters words. Tell Ps that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear.

- Open the tape and listen the sound of the words

- Turn on the tape 2 times and ask Ps to listen and tick.

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils comprehension of the listening text.

5. Read and complete

- Have Ps look at 4 pictures on page 19. Get Ps to identify the characters in the pictures.

- Tell Ps that they are going to fill the suitable words in the blank, using the picture cues.

- Ask Ps to read the answers aloud to the class. The others listen and give comments.

- Have the whole class read each sentence chorally to reinforce their pronunciation.
