I. Warm up

Greetings
Playing a game: “ Kim’s game”.
Present 8 pictures in sequence and ask students to look at the pictures only in 30 seconds and remember.
a picture of a family / a living room / a sofa/ an apartment / grandparents/ a bed / a kitchen/ a wardrobe.
-Ask students to write names of the pictures in groups in 1minute.
-Check the answer and introduce the title of the lesson “ My home”

II. Pre- reading

1.Vocabulary
- apartment (n): (situation)
- kennel (n): (situation)
- wardrobe (n): (picture)

- Read the words with correct stress.

- Ask some students to read the words individually.
2.Set the context
- Present the pictures of Mi and Nick: This is Mi, and this is Nick. Now look at the pictures and guess the answers:
+ What are they doing?
+ How are they chatting?
+ What are they talking about?

3.Open- Predictions
- Ask students to guess: Which family members does Mi talk about?

- Ask students to practice reading the conversation in pairs in front of the class.
- Ask students to read the conversation again (silently) and complete the sentences. (1.b)
-Ask students to share the answers with a partner before showing their answers in front of the class.

3. Present prepositions of place
- Ask students to find the prepositions of place from the conversation.
-Write them on the board: behind, in , on, near, next to
-Introduce: Beside the prepositions of place we have from the conversation, there are some more prepositions of place such as: between, under, in front of.
-Give examples to explain the meaning of each preposition above. ( between/ under/ in front of)
4. Match the prepositions with the pictures.
-Ask students to work in pairs and match.
-Ask for students’ answers.
-Check and confirm the correct answers.

- Ask students to look at the picture A/ part 2 and present the example sentence:

- Check the sentences with the whole class.
