*Warm up: Tell pupils to look at picture and ask the following questions in the pupils’ own language: How old are the children in the picture? (6,4 and 2 years old). What’s their relationship? (brother and sister).
A. Presentation
1. Teaching vocabulary
Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: Adam, Baz, Jig, Pat, Tess.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher.
Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.
B. Practice
2. Listen and say
Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to meet the course characters.
Step 2: Play CD. Pause after each name so pupils can point to the character in their books.
Step 3: Play CD again. Pupils repeat the names chorally and individually.
C. Production
3. Listen and find
Step 1: Say the characters’ name at random, eg. Baz, Tess, Pat, Jig, Adam.
Step 2: Check pupils are pointing to the correct character in their books.
Step 3: Play CD and pause after each name. Pupils listen and point to the character in their books.

Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: bag, book, lunch box, pencil, pencil box, rubber, and water bottle.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher.
Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.
B. Practice

Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to learn the words for the pupil’s school things.
Step 2: Play CD. Pause after each word so pupils can point to the objects in their books.
