- Use pictures and names of the characters like Mai, Nam, Phong, Linda, Tony, Tom, Hakim and Akiko. Invite two groups of three to play the the game.

- When the game is over, get them to point at each picture and say sentences. For example, This is Mai. She’s from Vietnam. She’s Vietnamese.

- Introduce the new lesson.

- Ask Ps to look at the pictures and work in pairs to ask and answer some questions in one minute:
