Lesson 1: Getting started-“ My favourite hobby”
I. Objectives.
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen and read for information about the topic “My favourite hobby”, Read the conversation between Nick, Elena, and Mi then answer the questions.
- Grammar: practice asking and answering with “ Do you like + Ving..?,
- Vocabulary: Use lexical items related to hobbies

- Open your book and look at the picture on page 8 and answer the questions below:

- Play the recording
- Ss listen and read
- After you listen and read a conversation, tell me whether your answers correct or not?
- Do you know the meaning of the idoms “ a piece of cake” from the conversation?
- Tell me any other idoms you know?
- Read the conversation again and decide if they are true or false?
- Share your answer with a partner.
- Write the collect answers on the board.
- Now answers the questions in part b orally.
- Ask some Ss to go to the board and write their answers.

- Learn by heart the newwords about hobbies, find out your friends’and family’s hobbies.
- Do exercise in workbook.
- Prepare a closer look 1: Read the words from 1,2,3,4 and do them at home.
