(4 minutes)

To revise what students learned in last lesson.

-    Call some students to go to the board in order to greet others and introduce themselves.

-    Have the whole class respond to his/her greetings.

-    Give praise to good students.

- Hello/ Hi. I’m + name.

- Hello/ Hi. I am + name.

  1. Listen and tick

(12 minutes)

Listen and choose the right pictures.

-       Have students look at 4 pictures in part 4: listen and tick on page 7.

-       Elicit each picture for students to find the differences:

+ What can you see in the picture?

+ Who is he/ she?

+ Where is it?

+ What is the difference between 2 pictures?

-       Play the CD 1st for students to listen and point to the picture.

-       Play the CD 2nd for students to listen and tick the right pictures.

-       Have the students change their books to their partner.

-       Call 1 students to go to the board to do.

-       Check the answers.

  1. Let’s write

(9 minutes)

To improve students’ writing about greet and respond to the greetings.

-    Have students look at part 5: Let’s write.

-    Give stuents a few seconds to read the texts in silence.

-    Check comprehension and give feedback.

-    Have students to do the task in 2 minutes.

-    Go around to offer help.

-    Have students to change their books to their partners.

-    Call some students to go to the board to do.

-    Check the answer.

-    Call some pairs to read the texts aloud.

(8 minutes)

To help students to remember the lesson more and make a free and friendly enviroment.

-     Have students look at the lyric in part 6 on page 7.

-     Say sentence by sentence and have students to repeat.

-     Play CD 1st for students to listen and point to each sentence.

-     Play the CD 2nd for students to listen and sing along.

-     Have the whole class sing again without CD.

-     Devide the class into 2 teams.

-     Have each team sing along.

-     Call some students to sing the song.
