PART I. WARM UP (5 mins)

PART II. NEW LESSON (28 mins)
1. Learn to sound:
Letter O:
-
T introduces letter T and teaches SS how to pronounce the sound “T”.
-
T asks SS to practice the sound: “T t” by repeating and chanting “T T T, /t/ /t/ /t/”.
Letter P:
-
T introduces letter S and teaches SS how to pronounce the sound “S”.
-
T asks SS to practice the sound: “S s” by repeating and chanting “S S S, /s/ /s/ /s/”.
2. Vocabulary:
-
T uses the flashcards to introduce the vocabulary. T can ask “What’s this?” And then T writes the words on the board.

T asks SS to point the letter "S" and "T" in the flash card.
-
T reads, SS repeat after, and read one by one. T checks their pronunciation.
The game: Finding the words
-
T breaks the class into 2 teams.
-
T puts the flash cards on the table, and then calls one student of each team to play.
-
T says a word which has in the cards, and SS have to take the right one. The first person who gets the correct cards will have one point.
-
The team receiving more points will be the winner.
The game: Go home

T asks four students to play a game.
-
T hangs the picture on the board, and then speaks out the words. SS have to go to the right cards which describe the word.
-
If some one go to the wrong place will get back their seat. The winner will be the last person who still on the board.
Colour in

T has SS spend some minutes colouring.
2. Structure
-
T tells SS that they are going to review the words of more numbers in English. T guide SS how to identify number 10 and how to pronounce the word “ten”.

T has SS count the items: books, pens… (1-10) or T can draw stars, candies… to have SS practice counting the numbers.
Game: Number Codes

Cut out some squares and write numbers from 0-9 on them (do about 4 sets of 0-9). Put the numbers in a box and then instruct the students to take out the numbers and place them in a line as you call them out. Then check that the number code is the same as you called out. This also works well for phone numbers.

PART III. WRAP UP (2 mins)
− T summarizes new words they have already learned by the flashcards.
