* Warm up: Pelmanism

-T. sticks 10 cards on the board( on one side with numbers from 1 to 10, on the other side: names of five cities or capitals and five countries: Tokyo, Perth, Liverpool, Bombay, Hoi an, Japan, Australia, England, India, Viet nam)

- Ss: are divided into two teams and choose numbers-- Turn over the card and see if they match correctly. If not, turn the card face down again and ask the other team to choose. Continue until the cards are turned over.

*Presentation:

1. A.3 speak.

 a. Pre- speaking:

- T: introduces the situation: Nga is talking to Maryam. They are waiting for Lan outside her school.

- Ss: work in pairs to put the sentences into the correct order to make a complete dialogue. ( p. 8).

 Yoko:  It's a busy big capital city. It's very different from Hue.

 Lan:   I see.

- Ss make own dialogues and practice them.

 a.Pre- listening:

- T: sets the scene: Carlo is Tim Jones' Mexico pen pal. He is visiting the USA.

- T: asks Ss to look at the pictures and tell the class what there is in each one, where the place is, what the people are doing.

Possible answers:
